The University Forensic Genetics Laboratory is a recognized reference center for the application and interpretation of genetic data in judicial contexts, supported by multidisciplinary expertise and state-of-the-art technologies. The Laboratory provides highly qualified technical and scientific support in both civil and criminal proceedings and has consolidated experience in cases of national relevance.
The Laboratory staff is composed of highly specialized professionals, including forensic biologists, medical geneticists, and laboratory technologists who are continuously engaged in advanced training and professional development. Alongside casework activities, the Laboratory promotes education and knowledge transfer through the organization of specialized courses and training programs for professionals working in the forensic and legal sectors.
